Do the bass in this lake go through a prespawn pattern if so I guess there more aggressive than regular lakes with colder water temps.

They're probably spawning half the year with the amount of fish in that lake.

I agree, if you try to follow spawner's out there, you could wind up chasing your tail in circles. While they do spawn, I've never been able to pin-point when/why/where. That's not to say you can't catch spawner's up in the river at certain times of the year.

I think they spawn in 30ft of water in the tree tops personally...

Scientific studies have proven that that the radioactive fall-out around the lake causes a couple phenomenas: A: because the fish glow they spawn only in the depths and only in the dark of night and B: because of the temperatures and example set by the billion Talipia that reside there: they want to spawn continually, non-stop, year round. I am building a big barndominium on Wheeler Branch right now which is literally right next to Squaw Creek(as the crow flies) and live close by. Oh and my wife can support the scientific evidence to the spawning thing.

Oh, and so many people who apparently have no idea what a largemouth bass spawning bed looks like and they mistake the bizillion Tilipia beds all over the lake for bass beds. These beds are all over and look nothing like a basss bed. They are big wallowed out circles the size(and appearance) of a spare tire sitting on the bottom. In deeper water they show up on your graph in standard 2D, DI and SI. Looks like the surface of the moon with all the craters. They are everywhere and they spawn through-out the year. When they are actively spawning in a particular area you will see their flashes as they take off when you spook them. Other times you will see entire huge schools(not really spooked) all around your boat and you will realze how someone can go out there and fill a small aluminum boat until its nearly sinking by just throwing a cast net over these schools. Spawning Tilapia look nothing like spawning bass although I think tons of bass fishermen make the identification mistake on Squaw regularly.

The last time I actually saw a bass on a bed out there was right before 9/11. It was the biggest bass I had ever seen in the lake. but since it reopened I have not seen one, I also do not fish shallow on that lake anymore. I agree with the statement above about them spawning in deeper water.

I believe the bass spawn year round there, and they know to spawn out of sight. I've seen male cruisers up shallow before, but never a female thinking about spawning up shallow.
