The Ray Hubbard Bass Club finished out the 2018 season with our annual 2 day Club Championship November 10-11 on beautiful Lake O The Pines. Our Championship is a no entry fee reward for those that qualify for fishing 5 or more members only tournaments during the year and participating in at least one community event. There was one word to describe the weather conditions. COLD! Saturday was clear and cold with a strong wind blowing that made it worse. Sunday was not as windy, but there was cloud cover all day so getting comfortable was not in the cards. The drastically dropping temperatures affected the fishing and getting bites was pretty tough. Consistency was key over the two days and proving that were most of the teams that collected checks at the top. When weigh in was over on Sunday, the team of Garrett Macias and Bobby Finta weighed a two day total of 29.79 pounds to take home the win. Big bass was paid out both days. Kelly Langhorne and Jeremy Collins got the prize on Saturday with a 5.69, and Preston Smith and David Horton got it on Sunday with a 5.11. Here are full results and pictures

Day 2 proved tougher for some, and better for others. Chris Lewis busted his tail for this one!

[Linked Image]

A change of scenery from south to north for Chris and myself proved the right call as we weighed five for 10.42

[Linked Image]

Another three fish day for David Mulkey and Tommy Yates, this time for 7.18

[Linked Image]

After a rough first day, RHBC AOY's Vince Burt and Mark Werner had an excellent day 2 with a limit that weighed 13.54

[Linked Image]

Bubba Davis had a tougher day 2 with three for 6.00

[Linked Image]

Dale and Kelly were consistent with four for 8.13

[Linked Image]

Preston and David just missed the last check with a limit on day 2 of 12.31

Bryce Glick got the last check with a two day total of 20.78

[Linked Image]

After struggling a bit on Day 1, David Choate and Stan Browning brought the biggest limit of the weekend to the scales on Sunday with five for 17.10, that included a 5 pound even kicker. Their two day total of 24.43 was good for sixth place.

[Linked Image]

Dennis and Damon Machost weighed 12.38 Saturday and came back with 12.33 on Sunday. Consistency rules for two day tournaments. 24.71 was good for fifth place.

[Linked Image]

Kelly Langhorne and Jeremy Collins came in with 11.84 on Sunday. Their two day total of 26.18 was good for fourth place.

[Linked Image]

Jeff Dawson and David Rosenquist weighed in 12.75 for Sunday. Their combined weight of 27.79 was good for third place

[Linked Image]

Second and third place were separated by .01 pounds! One spit up shad in the livewell. David Simmons and Ronnie Manning weighed 13.74 and their two day total of 27.80 was good for second place

[Linked Image]

Here are your winners! Only one team in the top 5 from Day 1 weighed a bigger a limit on Sunday than the previous day. Garrett Macias and Bobby Finta weighed the second biggest bag of the tournament with five for 15.95 for a combined weight of 29.79 and the victory. Great job guys!

Great weekend at Pines. A bit cold early and fishing was tough.
