Sometimes, I just like jacking with them. Since I cant catch a fish, its fun to waste everyones time by pitching bouys and watch them come check it out.

We get quite a few Amazon deliveries and so far I really have had zero complaints from the contract drivers. They seem friendly and courteous, leave it where they say they left it and in decent places shape. Last month I had 2 different packages left by UPS down at the gate by the road even though gate was open and 99% of the time they deliver to porch. Both packages expensive and both noted tracking that it was left on front porch. My front porch is a few hundred yards away from the gate.

UPS can never find my house (it's not difficult, easy to see and clearly marked)...so they just leave the packages at random houses...sometimes not even on the right road. Luckily I know most of the people in the area, so we get neighbors coming by with our stuff all the time.

UPS don't care. I finally stopped calling to let them know every time they get it wrong.

AMZL US (Amazon delivery) sucks. I have called Amazon twice with complaints. "Sorry sir, here's a ten dollar coupon." "I don't need your discounts, I don't need your freebies. I just need you to deliver the packages."

2 weeks back we got "the" notice package was delivered. I'm retired and home most of the time. The delivery notice says "handed the package to the home owner". Nope, didn't happen. Called Amazon to complain. An hour later the package shows up. Lying POS.

We have a large front yard with a toy hauler travel trailer park up. Yesterday they tried to deliver the packages to the RV. I'm standing in my driveway at the house. I'm yelling to the lady not to leave them there but bring them to the house. She didn't hear me so I repeated it louder. She picks up the packages and I think she is bring them to the house. Nope she puts them in her car and drives away. Updated delivery notice says "not delivered, unsecured location".

Back on the phone with Amazon. Told her the above story and she offers me another ten dollar coupon. She is filling out the complaint form and I asked her to include the following statement just in case the delivery person lies again. Include the home owner "says the delivery person was a young female, blond, and drives a red car". Scheduled for todays delivery. C'mon Amazon, get it together!

Yall jinxed me. We ordered some suction cup hooks for our shower. UPS delivered them yesterday, but didnt ring the doorbell, and for some reason they require a signature (they cost $3 a piece). If they dont deliver today, then Im going to have to go pick them, totally defeating the purpose of ordering this item off Amazon.

I didn't know you could get the text msg sent when it is delivered. Thanks for the info I just signed up for them. They never ring my doorbell.

Ok, I'm a dinosaur. This never occurred to me.

Regardless, I have pretty much everything that I order online delivered to my office. The drivers usually take the time to come in when delivering to a business (except for a PS3 a couple years ago that was delivered to the wrong building).

Yep. You usually get a picture if the delivery in the text. I love that feature.

Been getting those via USPS, UPS, and FedEx for a few years. It's OnTrac or other 3rd party delivery that mostly don't. Been a couple times I get an e-mail from Amazon a few hours after those deliveries.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Huh that's a weird one.

Had a similar deal a few weeks ago. I had ordered some replacement ink cartridges for my printer and they had not shown up on the next day, as promised. I went out the next morning and there was a small package laying on the grass by the driveway. This was during that time when we were getting the monsoon rains, but fortunately there had been a pause that night.

I called Amazon and explained what happened, and took the opportunity to tell them what I thought about their independent contractor deliver dudes. Getting packages close to the porch but not undercover. Packages left in the yard at all times. Very late night deliveries - frequently after 9:00 p.m., etc.

The Customer service guy apologized and said he would credit my card and to just keep the order. I had a credit to my card within an hour.

This is why I love dealing with Amazon, they make so much money and sell so much stuff they will typically refund you anytime you have an issue with the product or with the delivery.
