Caught a half dozen on swimbait Saturday afternoon. Lowered expectations as none of the stacks were smoking. Water temps behind the bridge were 64 to 70 degrees. Best shape I've ever seen the lake in with water levels at full or a little over. Lots of grass, flooded brush, cattails, and lilly pads... found them biting in the pads that had grass under them in 4 feet of water where the wind was blowing into them. Stayed in one stretch of pads for most of the afternoon. Missed a bunch as they were smaller fish but did get one skinny 18 incher.

I had to sneak to get this long shot of bald eagle. It rarely lets me get any closer.

Great pics Lewis!

Always enjoy your posts. Doc and I are going to get out that way this spring and fish with you again.

Nice!

Is it still an easy launch from the bridge or did that change with the construction work they were doing a couple years ago?

Launch at bridge is good... saw several bass boats and a big pontoon launch there... hard bottom and gradual incline.
