Hi guys, quick question...what are your thoughts about RingFree fuel additive. Is that sufficient for the upcoming winter, the boat wont be sitting in storage the whole winter but was curious what your thoughts were on the product itself. I know Yamaha says use it.

Thanks

Ring Free isn't fuel stabilizer.

I use it every fill up and it seems to keep the carbon build up away. Stay bil for storage I just use the old standard in the boat, lawn mower weed eater or anything that uses gasoline

I would use an additive that cleans and is a fuel stabilizer too. Sea Foam. I know of too many SHO`s that had problems.

I’ve used ring free for 10 yrs. 9 yrs on a 2 stroke 90hp yammer. Never had a carb issue once!!! Started on second try, even in the winter! Now I use it in my new sho 225. But I do fish a lot and the boat rarely sits more than 2 weeks. Yamaha make a good stabilizer though.
