Going next Friday with my brother and my 12yo son. Never been to welsh and haven�t been on squaw in 20 years. Welsh is a little farther but not a big deal.

Not planning to launch before dawn or anything, just want to spend a few hours together and catch a few.

Was on welsh last week ,,, caught one here and there . Then we hit the mother school, one every cast for 2-3 hrs. Nothing bigger than 3 lbs .... but we had a blast.

Welsh for sure.... fished it 3 days last week and boated a lot of fish between two of us.... nothing over 4lbs but was non stop... not a bad cast anywhere on that lake imo... should be starting to spawn there soon

Considering theres already 117 boats registered for Squaw I'd say Welsh.. Guess I'm spoiled, usually fish Squaw on Thursdays but somehow got drug into taking a buddy out there Friday. I'd almost rather not fish than deal with 150 boats on that little lake. Talk about a beating....

I prefer Squaw over Welch. It�s an awesome lake to learn & lure test on.

Squaw is a beating because your arms will be worn out by noon. If you want to fill the freezer, bring some earthworms and catch 3-4lb tilapia every 10 seconds.

Fishing? Welsh! Loading & unloading with the crowd? Squaw! Welsh is not a fun place to load/unload by yourself with a crowd(single lane steep odd angled ramp).

You really need two people to put it back on the trailer. Start it high, get the nose up over the Roller, then have them back down another foot or so. Sucks doing it solo.
