I had the strange desire to give my cat boat a good cleaning! I hope getting rid of all the slime and dirt doesn't put me in a funk.

When is the last time you cleaned your cat boat?

I thought about it, then the thought passed. I did finally switch out my hand rags after 4 trips. Pretty Stinky.

I empty it and scrub it down about twice a year. Generally if I have time on my hands I'm fishing. I send it to the boat shop for a tune up and check up and that is one of the times. I'm not sending a dozen rods and reels to sit unwatched at the shop so everything gets cleaned out. The rods and reels get a good cleaning and lubrication that week too.

You know that old saying "Some people march to the beat of a different drummer."? I don't listen to a drum at all and have meandered through life instead of marching.

I try to hose it down after every trip. About every fourth trip, it gets powerwashed.

Every trip. Stop at the car wash, spring for $1.50, soap, power rinse and it's clean for the next time out. Time lost, 10 minutes. I don't have a problem getting a boat nasty, letting it stay that way is a different matter.
I hate to start the day in a filty boat and I don't expect my guests to do it either.

Never met a customer who enjoyed showing up to a dirty boat. We bleach and dawn our boats daily.

Same thoughts as Michael Littlejohn. Picked up some customers that have gone with a certain guide for several years. Boat and equipment were always nasty and they got tired of it. I know for certain that Littlejohns boats get cleaned after every trip. Stubbys boat gets scrubbed often also

do you pass a car wash on the way home? Or have a pressure washer ? A car wash makes it easy. I just compounded mine, them used restore and wax, then used wax. Ready for the season. Now, wheres the shad
