Living with cancer is hard for everyone but men have the added difficulty of just being men. Our society and culture has created a view of what a man is suppose to be and to step outside of those confines or show any weakness is taboo. Many men will simply suffer in silence and endure the pain to the very end and miss the opportunity to heal and share what they are going through.

Reel Recovery does what few other programs can do by bringing together men who are living with cancer to share and support one another through this terrible disease. I am so blessed to be part of this wonderful program again this fall as a fishing buddy where the many years tossing hair and feathers has finally paid off !
