Anybody been on Buch lately? I'd like to get out there this week but not sure about conditions. TPW fishing report says the water is still murky but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Is there fishable water to be found around Garrett or should I look closer to the dam? Thanks.

I would call it stained more than muddy now. The last two Saturdays have been a complete skunk for me chasing largemouth. Spoke to someone at the ramp this Saturday that said he was graphing a lot of striper but couldn't get them to bite. All they managed was 12 sandies.
I personally saw no significant change in the color of the water from Llano County Park to Maxwell's Slough which is NW of Garret Island. It's a real mess and it looked and fished like it was still turning over. Shad stacked at the mouth's of the creeks. Even the birds were inactive.

Thanks for the info. Very much appreciated!
I think I'll give it some more time to let things settle.
