Gents,
Do you typically use the same color baits, (jigs, worms, cranks in cold water months, as in spring and summer. Or does it change for you? If so why.

I throw more black/blue or black/blue/purple in the winter months than I do most other times of the year. Early spring I like to use green pumpkin/orange, although I fish Fork most of the time and the jig bite has been off for me for several years now, so I hardly ever throw it any more. It used to be my favorite thing to throw.

I have 5 Texas Crayfish colors that I build out of living rubber. Black and Blue is one of them. The month of Nov. and December the Black and Orange is the best of the five.

I choose color by water clarity and weather conditions. Clear water sunny more greens. Muddy water cloudy conditions black and blue or black and pumpkin... temp not and issue.

White with just a hint of Chartreuse, maybe a touch of Merlot wine red up on the head. Belton and Stillhouse I use black and blue in colder water. Austin area lakes I have decent success with PB&J all year round.
