It is a seat of your pants thing for sure. You have a prop creating steering torque trying to make the boat turn to the right while at the same time your running surface is constantly changing. You are literally balancing the boat on a small portion of the bottom. This is what they look like when an experienced boat driver knows how to get the max out of his rig.

Ole Steve Bishop airing it out! He can drive. I used to say I could drive and then I chunked myself on Sunday... lol nah that was skeg, prop, and motor height. All important. Get with Ken he knows what he’s doing.

If Ken ever suggest that you can't grab a hundred dollar bill off the dash - believe him...he's about to drop the hammer! bow_down

dump the Fury for Tempest to start.
got a 99 TX21 older style (undrivable) hull.LOL !!!
i came out of a Ranger then a Cobra to the Triton.
hell of a difference.
got to learn to drive it, but the prop and a 10 inch hydraulic plate and tons of gear fixed mine!!! LOL !!!!
225 Opti with 26 Tempest plus and the motor way up,tournament loaded @ 71.mph and can drive with one hand.

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

I was fixing to post that picture. It is a great illustration on what makes the boat 'wobble' when it gets up on pad. You have to balance it on that skinny section, all the while the prop is trying to make you fall off to the right. It like walking on a tight rope and leaning left/right/left/right just to stay on.

I got a picture of my wife in a 1984 Skeeter Starfire w/ Evinrude 150 on a pad like that going down the treelines on FORK.

Triton chine walk ,,,, mine will do it also at 62mph with the trim up.
,,,, just trim her down, put more hull in the water
