So is the Booyah not even close to the Excalibur? I'm confused. I stocked up on EX but am starting to get low on them.

Just got mine and the paint on the one knocker is the same, the hard knocker is some lighter but close. As far as I can tell they sound the same. They bought a very popular lure, why on earth would they change anything? I'll give a report when I've fished both.

I use several different kinds and it really depends on the day. I think the rattling sound triggers the bite and all the different brands have a different rattle. Some days it's standard, some days it's the one knocker. If one isn't working, I'll try a different brand to see if they want that one. Sunday my partner caught them better than I did, but he was throwing a red eye shad and I was throwing a Lewis trap in the exact same color.

Back in the day, it was either a Pico Perch, a Bomber Pinfish, or a Heddon Sonic. Then Cotton Cordell came out with his Spot, which improved my catch. I switched to Traps, and have never looked back. Love 'em. A few years ago, I was throwing a 1/2 oz chartreuse shad Trap and caught 6 over 6, 2 over 5, and a 4 in about 30 minutes. Why change again?

The "ORIGINAL" Xcalibur XR50 any color, but Rayburn Red is really hard to beat. ^^^^^This ^^^^^ Unfortunately, I have a ton of SK Red Eye Shads. They wouldn't catch a terd in a punchbowl. Similar to all my Sixth Sense sqaurebills.
