Wife and myself going to head to SLP Saturday and stay the night on the pier side overnight. Thinking of gigging saturday night. Anyone been to SLP lately? how the fishing been lately? Any one wanting to stop by, we'll be in a grey chevy silverado set up with a dome tent next to it. Don't forget to bring my beer  Has the campground had bait lately? Anyone know the name or phone number so i can call ahead for bait? Looking for finger mullet or mud minnow to catch those flaties. Well anyone in the area please feel free to stop by and say hi to a fellow TFF member. May you Keep your lines tight and your stringers FULL

Been planning on heading down tonite SLP all week to do some gigging. Can't seem to get a decent weather/fishing report. Appreciate any information before we pack up and head down for nothing. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, hard to find recent reports on SLP...Used to fish there a lot when I lived in Houston and Crosby...I'm just curious what the (NEW) Pier looks like... Won a Trophy and a 1 year free-pass there in 1985...Caught a 15" 1.75 lb. Golden Croaker... !!Wow!! Looks to me, this could or (could have been) a new Texas Speckled trout record?...Biggest trout I ever caught, was a 24" 9-lber...On the Gulf Coast Fishing pier...Many,many moons ago...   26" Trout caught on SLP supposedly on 5-2-07...

Well Saturday nighth was blown out on the bay side. Didint get a hit one. But i heard they smoked the trout on the pier.
LOOKIN FOR THOSE FLATTY'S 24/7
