I used to duck hunt on the north end of it. A little ramp up there we called 8 ball. Is the plant still running?

The post got me curious so I did some digging. This doesn't talk to how it is right now, but when TPWD did their survey in 2016 they classified the bass fishing as follows: Black basses: Spotted Bass were collected but are unlikely to support a fishery. Largemouth Bass size distribution is within the target range for a balanced population but relative abundance is low and condition is poor. https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/lake_survey/pwd_rp_t3200_1378_2016.pdf

Power plant is still running, very overpopulated with small dink bass. Also has a good crappie population.

The water is very turbid (muddy). A couple hundred trailers and smaller sized homes line the lake. Never fished it, but driven around the lake a few times.

I fished it years ago IT was the place to swim for most of the girls from Nacogdoches. There was a really nice caf there. But over the years the fishing declined and things went down hill. Today I would suspect if you caught a 12 inch bass you would be crowned King. Many great days of fishing there but never caught anything over 14 inch As advertised by P/W It is not what it was many many years ago. wild bill
