Hello everyone, I finally get to fish one the lakes I have heard about since I first started watching fishing shows on TV. Lake Sam Rayburn. I am going camping there this weekend and staying at Ebenezer State Park and plan on slaying some slabs. If anyone has some tips or know of some forums for the lake, if you could please share, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks BigDozer. Will do. I have me an Arctic Armor suit that keeps me nice and toasty. I will make sure to take it with me. With the bite being lite, should I use minnows instead of jigs?

I need some help to get this skunk smell off of me! I fished three days and didn't catch anything. I now have even more appreciation for the pros that go to new lakes and can catch fish. Beautiful lake and I will definitely go back. It's also a very big lake, so many places to look for fishing spots.

Tough time to fish, crappie are in transition I believe. A crappie guide will give you a lot of great info. Good luck next time out.

Been there, done that. First few times on Rayburn did not go as planned either. Do a little better now around San Augustine Park, bet never this late in the year.
