We'll be camping at Powell Park for the first time the weekend of Nov 16/17. I have fished above the 147 bridge for many years but haven't ventured past the 5 fingers area. Not fishing a tournament or anything, just the wife and I camping and enjoying time on the water together. Any suggestions on areas of the lake to target, best baits to use?
I imagine with fall starting to be in full swing, I'll see bass moving toward the backs of creeks feeding on shad?

Any guys ever use the Boat Ramps on Harvey Creek or Bayou Recreation (Five Fingers Area) at Sam Rayburn ?

Are they decent ramps or recommend somewhere else to launch on that part of the lake?

Harvey ramp has the potential to be nasty with a north wind. If not the ramp, the ability to get anywhere on the lake from there. The one in FF is fine.

Headed to Big Sam tomorrow, hope to find some where out of the wind with some grass and hunt them down.
Gonna be a bit chilly the next few days but better than sitting at home....I think.

It happened fast this year. Might see some water temps in the 40s this year.
