Does anyone have any reports on FPH . Is the water still stained?

I�ve been a few times in the last couple weeks. Water still stained. Haven�t done any good fishing several areas with live shad despite seeing lots of fish. I find tons of fish hanging out from Johnson park to dam. Huge bait schools and game fish mixture over northern part of poverty point. Easy to catch bait there and should produce fish if they decide to get out of this funk they are in with all the fresh water and cold fronts. There is lots of fish and bait over sailboat point as well. I was pretty shocked that I didn�t catch any the last few trips despite seeing so much activity and presenting live shad down but it has to be the change in water level/cold fronts and hopefully it turns on. One thing I want to try is fishing shallow near silos. I caught one hybrid a foot below surface on jugline in 4-5 fow. May be worth fishing top water or shallow water baits fresh grass.

OK I figured it out after getting skunked.

Sure am glad I got to work all day. Would have been disappointed driving all that way for a skunk.

Glad its not just me...

I went to my local lake which is similar in depth to FPH. I found the hybrid stacked in a few areas, but could not get them to feed!

I found them in the morning and left them alone for a few hours and tried again later, with no luck.

I did manage a few take downs on live bait and landed 1, so I know what I was seeing was hybrid, they just wouldn't turn on!

Frustrating!

I�m going this evening into the night. Wondering if the night bite will be any better! I�ll post the results.

The fishing is definitely off still. I founds lots of fish and had a very difficult time catching despite using live shad. Ended up catching two hybrids and a 10 pound blue cat. One hybrid came from the pump house after dark and the hybrid and blue came a few feet below the surface in 7 fow in the back of sailboat cove on a jug line. Saw tons of fish but had very little luck.
