OK if you had to pick your top 5 or 6 baits for this time of year till end of feb. What would it be? trying not to carry 10 to 15 rods out on the deck. Just trying to keep it simple. Will be fishing the lake once a week. Lake is sooo close to my house. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you have plenty of time on the water to figure it out and let us know... if you catch anything bigger than 3 pounds we will need a picture, bait used, and location or it didnt happen... haha just go fish your strengths and you will catch fish.

Fished it for the first time this Saturday. Not sure theres a bait they wont eat. I guess mine would be- squarebill/ medium diver, keitech swimbait, ultravibe speed craw on a texas rig, drop shot, and an oversized version of any of the above to hunt bigger fish.

Take Crig, Texas rig, and a Shakey head. Throw something green.

Thanks guys, I'am finding your suggestion to be true. Branden I meet you in the dove fields years ago when u were a very young man. Use to work at F/K when your dad worked there, again years ago. You would make any dad proud.

Y'all are putting some good baits out there... I'm old and have used them all. My two baits that I use on Squaw are a light weight on a brush hog or lizard and a wacky rigged senko.. Green is always a good color..

Went Saturday and honestly there wasn't one thing I threw they didn't bite. I had the best luck with Carolina rig, spinnerbait, underspin, jig, and my buddy mostly threw T-rig worm. I'm going to throw out a guess that we caught maybe 50-70 fish easy. I've never been so upset about catching 2lb fish like Saturday. Not one of them over 3.5lbs. Ranged from 1lb to 2.75lbs mostly.

I took my 5 year old friday and he caught his first bass all by himself. It was about 2 lbs. After that he said he was done. We caught them on just about eevrything and everywhere we went. The biggest was about 4 lbs...It is only going to get better.

This. If you aren't catching them out there right now, your lure is on the bank or in a tree. Just go fish what you are confident in and you will catch them.

Sounds like you been fishing with my girlfriend, her bait is normally in a tree or on the bank... I dont think she has good hand eye coordination
