What is some good warm bibs for women. I bought my wife a set from academy last year and she still gets cold. She does dress in layers. Just need some good warm bibs also

I'm still a big fan of arctic armor. I've had mine for several years now. Expensive investment, but they last, and they work. There might be other suitable options on the market now, I haven't had the need to shop around.

Base layer Matt! The bib is more of a wind and moisture blocker. You gotta match your thermal underwear base layer and mid layer with the outdoor temperatures. You can get thermals that are too hot and will make you sweat which in turn will make you cold. You can get thermals that are too light weight and will make you cold. Finding comfortable base layer aint easy. Most arent very comfortable... texas
And Im a guy that once I get cold the fun is over...

Artic Armor and forget the rest, for the very cold days,a hoodie under them and that's about it and I am cold natured and have been frost bitten. There are better gloves much cheaper than AA but sometimes they give a pair with the suit. I have had mine 5+ years and never looked back. Don't just get the bibs get the parka also together, I have the Academy suit also for warmer days only. That it works well layered.

AA is not a warm suit it keeps you your temp, blocks all wind and rain and floats you, best I have worn.

I would assume you would just get smaller sizes of whatever you would wear? Or does she need it in pink or something?

One thing that I would recommend... Last year I found a pair of ski pants (they make bibs too) that were on clearance so I decided to give them a chance. On the very coldest days they are great! Can get too hot on normal days but when it gets real cold they will help keep you warm. They are waterproof but I will be curious to see if they hold up like my Goretex gear does over time.

Best out there, I really like mine.
As a side note, they are buoyant, and you will float in them if you fall in the lake.

Buy her arctic armor and buy yourself some too. You can wear tee shirt and jeans underneath if it is near freezing. Requires a hoodie if it is under freezing temps.

It cost a little more to go first class, but well worth it if you can afford it. I've had and used em all and Artic Armor is by far the top of the list. Some may be nearly as good but why chance it and if you accidentally fall in thats covered also. Who else offers that?

The best thing you can get her is snow skiing bibs. Look for them at goodwill stores. Warm, dry, waterproof, and light weight.

Arctic Armor gets my vote hands down. Had a pair going on 4 years. Not bulky and will keep you toasty with just a T-shirt and jeans underneath.
