Anybody been up to Lake Fork lately? I'm going up there for the first time this weekend and was hoping to get some info on which part of the lake to head to. I'll be putting in near the 515 bridge. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks & Gig'em!

It's not fishing real good right now, but each to his own.. There is good grass in the backs of little Caney, and Birch creeks.. Keep an eye on water temps back there. Main lake down south is warmer, points and timber down there..
There are a lot of other lakes fishing better in that area right now..FYI
Or : use a guide on Fork

Was there last week. As RedSkeeter said, it's tough. We had a lot better luck at Welsh and Athens.

Man, you picked a real bad time.

I hope you're not traveling far.

Agreed with all... fished there Saturday, expecting a shallow bite.... nah... talked to a couple of day tourney guys and they only had 5 under the slot keepers, fishing 12 - 30' deep... go figure...

Require a whole lot of luck...

I'm wrong a whole lot about a lot of things but I think the high water levels and the drastic change in water temp has the fish scattered and not holding to cover or structure. You can find good grass in a lot of different places but the fish don't seem attracted to it as they usually do. Let the lake levels stabilize and the fish get better acclimated to the water temps and I thing we'll start seeing them bite better. Hope, thumb

I wouldn't. Just hit up a power plant lake. The one I've been going to, the fish don't seem as affected by the recent temperature drop. No monsters but consistent 3's and 4's. When was the last time Holbrook fished like that?

Fished last Wed - Fri and it was tough Wed & Thur... Only a handful of fish both days but it got a lot better Fri when the sun came out and it warmed up. We wacked them in 2ft - 8ft if that helps you any.. Picked up some good quality bites on docks that always produce too. Also did really good at night on lighted docks but thats not for everyone if youre not familiar with the lake I wouldnt suggest running around after dark. Good luck

Yeah, right. One that doesn't get very much traffic and I'd like to keep it that way.
