I'm looking for a ramp on EM that doesn't cost $12 to launch from. Does anyone know of such a place? Thanks.

Thanks Paul. I checked it on the TPWD site and it's on the other side of the lake from me, but it will work. I would rather pay the difference in gas and drive time before coughing up $12 to launch. It's the principle of the thing. smirk

I believe it is $5 to launch from Twin Points also. Boat ramp is tucked back behind the decreped boat docks. Narrow and steep. Water should be up enough to use it.

I really like the ramp at West Bay. The downside is the walking distance from the parking area. But they do have a good store for ice and drinks and usually plenty of places to tie off your boat while parking the truck

Lake View is $10 and on the east side. I agree with the higher launch fees, but with the gas prices, it is less for me to pay the $10 than drive the extra miles around the lake. You could go to Grpaevine and pay $5.

Fort Worth boat club. They have a yearly fee that is pretty cheap. I don't remember what it is but its not much. Its also pretty secure there.

From the FWBC website:

Membership to the Fort Worth Boat Club is by invitation only and may be initiated by submitting a written application, available from the FWBC office to the Secretary. The application needs to be endorsed by two FWBC members in good standing. If approved by the Membership Committee, the applicant's name is posted for a minimum of two weeks. If no written objection is filed with the Club Secretary during the posting period, the applicant becomes a member.

Sounds like a bunch of elitist a-holes to me.

There is a free ramp at the end of Peden Rd, next to Lakeview.

I think you are thinking about The Fort Worth Anglers Club. The FW Boat Club wont even let a bass boat in the gate!
Also Twin Points was closed for good on January 1st.
FWAC is only $45 a year for members. You can call 817-444-4212 for info.
