Some may or may not know, my name is Mike Oser, I own moestackleshop.com and had a nice little lure business from 2007-2016! I'm recovering from lead poisoning, a January 2017 Neck Fusion Surgery, and a July 2018 Posterior Cervical Laminectomy! I sold the manufacturing business, Red River Casting to a guy in Houston, but retained website!

I should be cleared to start fishing the first weekend of November! Took a trip to Academy and Cabelas and got sticker shock! Started shopping around the world wide web and found some decent prices, but really liked some of the new lures I saw last week! Spent some $$$ on new stuff from Storm and excited to try this gear out with SkeeterSteve on Lake Tawakoni 11-3!

If you do not know I started a website design and internet consulting business and now use moestackleshop as a blog site! With my lure shopping last week I decided to chat with some fishing guides on Texoma, Tawakoni, and Lavon to see what Lures they buy at Big Box Stores! Striper Guides Favorite Lures

So this is my favorite I found at Cabelas! Storm 360GT Searchbait Minnow! I purchased a few 3/8oz in chartreuse and they look killer! Anyone on the TFF try this fancy expensive new stuff? I reverted back to a downstream fly fishing drifter, so it's been almost a year since I have gear fished? I'm sure SkeeterSteve will fix my birds-nests next weekend! I'll post a report next week and let ya'll know how it goes!

I think I have plenty of Moes plastics tackle that I can load you up. Hop on board for some winter deadsticking.

Was the lead poisoning from pouring lead jig heads? You may have mentioned it earlier and I just missed it.
Glad to hear you are doing better.

Bass Pro and a Cabelas are not longer competing so prices are creeping up.

You have zero signs for Pb poisoning until it gets very bad. I told my doctor I purchased equipment to mfg lead lures in big volume. Asked my doctor to check lead levels at yearly physical. I went from zero to holly s_it in 3.5 years. I felt no signs and my doctor said another increase would put me in the hospital. So my advice to all Lure Mfg, get your Pb levels checked each year! Its a simple blood test! You get Pb poisoning from handling the lures, not so much the fumes! Filing down 2,000 jig heads is a bunch! The guy I sold equipment to has 3 employees with Pb poisoning!

As for Lure prices, they will go up due to USA Tariffs! Hard Lures will get hit big time, not so much with soft plastics. I contacted several China Suppliers June 2018. All the prices are now 35-55% higher. This is just the start.

Lure prices and fishing with live bait guides got me to switch to live bait. I'll never go back to lures. The government says inflation is low but the bandit lures I was buying for $4.95 in 2012 are now $7.95.

Shad work better anyway.
