Went out yesterday morning, and 2 hours into the day was encountered with the thickest fog I've ever seen.

I think most of us have been there before, kind of scary when you hear a boat up on plane headed your way.
I used to bow fish and we have had it to where we couldn't see from the front to back of a 16' john boat. Of course we were on a power plant lake in the dark so there weren't may other boats.
Man to be young and bullet proof again.

What made the fog so bad is that Medina is full of debri right now because of the all the rain, and the fog made it impossible to see anything in the water. Nearly pegged a floating tree going 40mph.

I waited for the fog to clear before I went out, but I missed the morning bite. I was out from about 10:30 to 7 pm and tried just about everything with not much luck. I tried in shallow water with cover and structure, deep water with cover and structure, cliffs, dropoffs, coves, and main lake. I tried topwaters, jigs and t-rigs (dragging bottom and swimming), buzz baits, shakey heads with trailers, spinnerbaits with trailers, and crankbaits, with varying presentations.

Did anyone fare better? Tips if you are willing?

I saw a lot of debris in the lake as well. From what I could tell the big stuff was visible with enough warning (after the fog cleared).

Got on at 7 and caught 3 fish before getting off at 11. All on a spook, tried everything else but nothing worked. The fish probably need a while to get used to all the water thats been poring in.

Caught a 20 piece of PVC that was below the water level on my skeg around the jumping cliffs. Luckily it didnt do anything to the prop.

Wow! eeks

Side Note: I have been on the water a couple of times during conditions like that! The last time was several years ago. I decided then I would just wait to the fog burns off! Neat picture and a great reminder! woot
