Saw on Bassfan where David Dudley received a invite to BASS. I wonder who else got invites? Martin, Thrift?

I bet a bunch of them don't bite, Johnny Morris may have already bought FLW now, ready made feeder series for MLF then.

Why would Johnny Morris buy FLW and how would it be a feeder series? that implies the FLW Tour is beneath the MLF BPT which is not the case.

Also BASS has exemptions with certain criteria such as the Legends exemption and such. Dudley fished BASS for several years and likely qualified for one of the exemption spots.

Or they are just hand picking invites to try and fill the roster. If what I've read (between the lines type) then all the top 15 in opens are being invited. Which means Mark Rose, Justin Atkins, Carl Jocumeson pretty much every other guy at the Open Championship has got an invite.

But like I said that's from gathering information from anglers social media posts and such.

Yeah I would say that them offering the top 15 in each division is a safe bet. Several of the top 15 such as Mark Rose have already committed to the BPT so they may go even deeper then the top 15.

Because that is what Johnny Morris does. To me FLW has always played second fiddle to BASS and now will do the same to BPT. This is not saying that the anglers in FLW are not capable but when the biggest names in bass fishing start their own tour everybody else is playing second fiddle.

One reason, FLW has the strongest grass roots system out there. You switch over the all the lower series series and college to catch weigh release & the tour becomes your BPT b-series ie triple-A. BASS has neglected their grassroots systems for far too long, now that the star power has left their tour they are in a bad spot. This whole deal was done to destroy BASS

IMHO BASS made a big mistake several years ago when they started the weekend series....they only offered one slot to the Bassmasters classic which made it as much luck as skill whereas if they had offered 6 slots they could have taken most of the BFL fishermen away from FLW....FLW offers a reasonable chance at making the AllAmerican but while the All American is a great goal for the weekend fisherman,it doesn't compare to giving a weekend fisherman a shot at fishing in Classic...

BASS had their opportunity to dominate the weekend fisherman and control the feeder system for professional fisherman and didn't take advantage of it...
