Sabine, still high/flood stage water. Had to wade to the boat ramp this morning, again. Steady south winds pushing a lot of saltwater into Sabine Lake. Live Shrimp and Curly Tail Gulp caught most of the fish. Shad caught the last and biggest Flounder. Fished some birds early and could not get away from huge GaffTops, to many to count. Did catch quite a few Sand Trout, fishing close to the shoreline dodging the persistent south winds. Mud and shell bottom is not hard to find in Sabine Lake. Found some Baitfish and Shrimp jumping around is another good sign. You won't see much signs of fish if you run wide open next to the shoreline. If you stop and wait a few minutes, you may see a lot more signs of fish. Caught more big Reds yesterday, more big Flounder today. The next cool front should make fishing even better.
