Cody needed to escape the heat, so we left Texas for southern Colorado and norther New Mexico on 23 June. While we were gone, one of our water heaters burst, so we spent most of the time preparing for the remodeling and dealing with the insurance companies. However, our part is finished, so we got to work on our blog a little. This was a first-time visit for both of us, and we were amazed at the results others had visiting one month later than us, as it seemed to be two completely different places. We have been fishing that area since 1992. Most years, runoff does not really subside until around July 4. Enjoyed reading about your trip and seeing the photos. The feeder creeks above platora are a lot of fun but FSR 250 gets rougher every year, or maybe my age has something to do with it
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
