When fishing for catfish in extreamly clear water with 20# braid, should a leader be used.

I do not think cats are line shy. Maybe in some situations as they are not blind or poor sighted like a some folk think. I just use the same I would use in muddy water.

Thanks. Considering that they bite trotlines, jug lines, and so forth, I wouldnt think they are line shy, but I just didnt know about them in real clear water. Thanks for the reply. Good to know what others think.

Not sure about clear water but I catch them on weedeater string all the time so I dont think they care....
