I haven't fished much north of Costello Island. Are there buoys marking the channel like on the rest of the lake? Safe to run?

Yes there are channel markers all the way until the lake splits into 2 creeks.

Yes there are channel markers all the way To the north at the mouths of both creeks.

With he lake full its open game pretty much all the way to the mouth of rock creek
