 Salmon - Labor Day in Washington

Decided to go pay my cousin in Washington state a visit during the labor day weekend and she had a fishing trip lined up for us; we fished out of La Push Washington and cant wait to go back. The first salmon of my life.... Shortly after catching this one I got my second and that filled my 2 per day limit.   Had them in the boat, gilled and on ice QUICK;- You know your captain can handle a fillet knife when old men twice his age start video taping him cleaning fish.  I'm really uptight about making sure fish get bled, iced, cleaned and frozen ASAP - This fish was loaded into my Yeti two-40 and checked as a bag for the flight home.  Final results - dried onion flake & lemon pepper; grilled over indirect heat. Skin side down on NON-oiled foil.
