This is hilarious! Ya'll keep throwing your texas rigs and over sized jigs. I'll keep catching the fish you aren't catching

Ive only been throwing jigs a lot since this year. Ive owned a bunch forever, but I can honestly say they have put at least 50% of my bites of 5lbs in the boat. The only jig I throw for rocks and open water is the Finch Nasty Vick Jig. They have down to 3/8oz (which I trim up like a finesse jig) that I throw on rip rap and shallow offshore stuff. Ive even thrown them in 18-20 when they want it slower. I use a full size ZCraw deep and a ZCraw Jr shallow. Also use a Rage Craw when I want to mix it up.

It's hard to beat the way smallmouth smokes a finesse jig in the late fall and winter

You should throw a finesse jig because finesse jigs will catch big bass, and sometimes a smaller size jig will out catch a bigger one. My favorite finesse jig is a 3/16 oz. BPS finesse jig, black/blue, with a black/blue junior size Rage Tail Craw trailer.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

You'll catch more fish on a texas rigged baby brush hog than any other lure in your box...

You can throw you're tungsten strike king jig, I'll just use my texas rig with my water gremlins and do just as good if not better...

You're probably just a better angler than those other guys.

How do you fish a finesse jig? I also bought some finesse worms, do these go on the jig itself or fished like a tx rig? Do you fish it like a tx rig soft plastic worm?

I throw a Santone finesse jig in 5/16 or 3/16, but most days youll find a 5/16 PBJ with a strike king rage chunk on the back on my rod. I also throw river bream or bullfrog.

As you can see, youll get laughed at for throwing a finesse jig. People dont think big fish will eat a smaller profile bait that imitates a crawfish - its funny, Ive caught my biggest bass on a finesse jig (10.76 out of cypress springs), had a 5 bass limit about a month ago on a finesse jig (37lbs on ray Hubbard, granted one of the fish caught, was a 12lber than my buddy stuck; 4/5 on a finesse jig nonetheless), and Ive pocketed plenty of dollars on a finesse jig across the metroplex in the past. Dont let it fool you, that jig will never fail you once you learn how to fish it.
