Anyone on here ever fish Lake Murray? I'm planning on fishing up there next month. I've never been there but I've heard that its full of 1-2lb smallmouth. Any help on areas or techniques would be greatly appreciated.

Theyll be schooled up on points. A top water, jerkbait, crankbait and a trap will produce a lot of fish in the fall on Murray
|

Spool up some light line. The water is usually very clear. Best day I ever had out there we found a school of big smallmouths in the center of a cove in about 50' of water. They would come flying up from bottom and nailing a jerkbait just under the surface.

Idk about being full of 1-2lb but definitely 1/2-1lb but there is some decent ones
