My tackle was stolen from my boat so I have an insurance check to spend. Most of my hard baits (cranks and topwater) were quite old anyway, so I have a chance to start fresh. Comment with your go to Crankbaits, maybe one shallow/squarebill, one medium, one deep, as well as your go to Top Water or Jerk Baits. I'd love to have input when I go shopping. I mainly fish Clark, Cedar Creek, Fork, Waxahachie and Joe Pool. Thanks.

IMO, hard to beat 1.5 Strike King squarebill. It's probably put more fish in my boat than all my other types of hard baits combined over the last few years. I like Rapala's various jerkbait offerings.

First off, sorry about your gear getting stolen!
Strike King KVD 1.5 for the shallow/squarebill, Berkley Digger for the medium, Strike King 6XD for deep, Heddon One Knocker Spook for topwater, and Megabass vision 110 for the jerkbait (Berkley Cutter is a great choice if you don''t wanna pay for the Vision 110).
Some of the other brands I also love are: 6th Sense, SPRO, Duo Realis, and Lucky Craft. Hard to go wrong with anything they make. If I had to pick 2 brands, it'd be Berkley and Strike King.

Chartreuse with a black back and sexy Shad colors are all you need for cranks. Traps get black/chrome. Top water get a few of the new net bait paddle tail buzz baits and a few sexy frogs.

Pick the ones you have confidence in and have thrown a lot. Get extras. No sense in getting lots of stuff youll probably never throw.

I would buy only a couple to get you through a couple more months and then load up at Black Friday/Christmas sales. Should be able to find things at 15-20% off. I would also check the Classifieds for deals as people (including me) buy entirely too many hard baits.
But to answer your question I personally like Spro and 6th sense since they are well built, the colors are great and the hooks don't need changed out. Also I think the fish see less of these versus Normans and Strike King.
