Nothing like catching big stripers in pitch darkness when you can’t see more than a couple of feet :-) www.striperexpress.com

I have been with Chris at least once and maybe twice, top water, pitch black. He gets us to the first spot, stops listens and then says, cast them out. I said cast where, I can't see a thing. Cast towards the sound of the splashes. I got more hookups than normal because I couldn't see the hit and didn't yank it out of their mouth. It was a memorable trip for sure. Two important things come to mind. 1. Whoever is driving the boat better know the lake like the back of their hand. 2. You will need to do whatever is necessary to avoid backlashes or bring a lot of backup rods/reels. Very hard to clear a backlash in the dark.

Steve All that is true and I’ll add no more than 2 guy’s casting on the boat. Trebles are tough to dig out of your head in the dark also.

Whether you know the lake or not, be careful out there in the dark. Ran past a 40’ tree floating out in middle of Table Top last night on way in. Definitely would cause major damage if hit at speed. Rising water has stuff floating right now.

Anyone can catch a lot of fish when they're hungry . . . . My favorite days are the ones where the fish don't want to eat, but I make 'em do it anyway.
