Chorizo just bubbles up out of the ground there. Has something to do with the proximity to Mexico. The wall will put a stop to that.

I haven't been to all of them but Yantis sure stands out as being nothing but a 4 way stop. I guess I dont see things the same way as some of yall. Just because there is nothing there doesnt make it the worst small town. The question said "Worst". I agree with you! Also, Lufkin is not a small town! By the way, this thread is 4 years old!

Ill play. Hearne, Texas. The butthole of booger (Robertson) county. Its sucks pretty hard for many of the reasons listed about other towns... crime, speed trap, nothing little town, but then you add on to that the fact that it is probably the most corrupt small town government in the state, and you have a real winner. School board officials, police chiefs, city managers, if you name a local government position, theyve had theirs investigated by the Texas Rangers for corruption or the like. Wal-Mart shut down the Hearne store because they couldnt control theft both from customers and employees.

Franklin. Don't know how it is to live there but traveling through....Speed trap and gas is always 10 cents higher than anywhere on 79 Franklin is actually a pretty nice little town. Gas is more expensive because people there have gas and oil money.

Hico. just stop in at the Koffee Kup Kafe. I grew up in Iredell. Hico ain't bad. Walnut springs is worse Jun I was born in Hamilton and then dad moved us to Azle when I was 3. Hico is a great little town

Robstown, outside of Corpus is not a place you want to hang out in. Another town that had to close a Walmart because of theft, mainly from the people that worked there.
Right down the road in Driscoll, Tx is a speed trap waiting to happen. This is the town law enforcement was caught selling cars they pulled and seized being towed to Mexico. The once they buy in Houston wrecked and tow back and sell in Mexico.
All these little towns in South Texas suck.
