Heading to Port A this weekend with some buddies
. Swell Info says flat so if that is true we plan on yaking to the end and fish for bull reds or what ever will bite. Question is are the Kings still in or have they moved farther offshore since the water is hotter?

They should be around water is still warm. Be careful around the jetty, lots of traffic. If it’s flat I would hit the rigs. Also big reds should be in the surf, you could drift just past the breakers for reds and sharks.

Thanks KQT. Yes there is lots of boat traffic around end of jetties. Game time decision once we get down there. We may try the rigs also. Always seem to have good luck with reds and kings off end of jetties. five of us fishing for four days so hopefully we can figure them out. Thanks again!

Fishing the end of the jetties in a yak makes me clinch up. Hell, it made me clinch up fishing in my 20ft center console on a calm day. Hooked up with a big shark while about 5 shrimpers were going out at once. I bounced around and came really close to the rocks. Be safe and where your PFD. Watch the tides too. They get strong right at that point. In a kayak, I would much prefer rig fishing personally.
