Does anyone have any results for the top 6 tournament on Brownwood yesterday?

I didn't fish it this year but talked to someone who did so excuse for not a whole lot of details but
Brownwood won 1st - 30 something lbs

Not sure what the name of the team with Bill Wilcox on it, got 2nd place - His boat weighed in (3) 5 lbers and another one in the club had 8.6lber they were just barely out of it.

3rd place was at 24 lbs

I'm not sure of the results, but I think it took 25lbs to get a check and I heard 31+ won it. They did a great job running the tournament. Good food, good venue, good guys from area clubs. Looking forward to next year.

Wilcox fishes in a bass club?

Hoping it's back in range for next year.

Wilcox isnt a ringer. He was a member of the Arlington Bass club for years. He left and came back if I'm not mistaken. If it was a team tournament he was probably fishing with his grandson.

We finished in eighth Place. And yes Wilcox fishes with his grandson and his grandson actually caught the (tie) big fish on a Yellow Magic. Matthew Sosa with Lonestar Junior Bassmasters caught the other big fish. The big fish pot was going to pay 50-50 since it was a tie but Wilcox and his grandson donated their big bass winnings graciously to the Lonestar Bassmaster kids.

Why is that suprising. He fished with us in Arlington for several years. Bill likes to fish.

That was a class move by Wilcox but then again why would you expect anything else from him. Yellow magic wow we tried for 3 days to get a top water bite and never got a sniff.

I was the boat captain for Lone Star Jr. Bass masters and Matthew Sosa's Dad , We had a great time fishing with all the clubs out at Brownwood. Every top 6 tourney we have fished the other clubs always give our JR. club much love. We surely appreciate MR. Wilcox and his team for donating their share of the big bass prize money. We had no fish in our live wells, catching nothing but 13 inchers, till the last hour Matthew started flipping in between docks with a tx rig , baby brush hog watermelon red. I guess he must have put it right in front of its mouth, cuz it did not fight hard at all. Anyways we were like wow! two exact 8.41 lbers . And we got off the water about 1pm , because my tolling motor steering cable broke.. talk about luck..
