It was a great Sunday on Ray Hubbard! I will try to attach some pics from my phone because my laptop is giving me fits...

Started off at 5:30am and knew it could be a good day when after 2 throws of my castnet I had more than enough shad for the day and a nice 4lb Carp! Enough of that, let's go fish! I went over to the jetty off the power plant and hooked up with a 6lber to start things off. He was in about 12 FOW. Caught steady eater size fish in the shallower but nothing big. Time to move.

Moved to a different spot and set up drifting in 30-35 FOW and it was on! The first big one I landed was 22lbs and then a 45lber and finished the day off with my new Personal Best of 53lbs! Was consistently pulling in good eater fish too but all fish were released back to be caught another day.

I was alone so the pics aren�t that great anyways.

Hopefully this works... Should show in order 22lbs, 45lbs and then the 53lber! All of the big boys were caught on the cut up carp!

I have got to learn how to make that happen. Great fish there!!!

Thanks! Ive never caught a lot of flatheads but I don�t target them specifically. I did catch one a few months ago in the 12lb range. It was interesting but you could tell it was a different fight than a Blue

went with my nephew Saturday morning had no trouble getting bait. we were above hiway 66 in shallow water all fish came from 4 to 6 feet of water, had a 20#,18#,17# and 17 other blues from 3 to 12# and one 18# flathead on cut shad.
