We have waited for quite a while to spend a week up at Big Cedar Lodge on Lake Table Rock. The weather forecast has gotten worse for every day. What is it with me and rainy vacations?!?!

All fishermen please perform your anti-rain dances for us.

Be safe,

When it rains it pours up there! Hopefully you will catch a break along with a lot of fish! Checking out the museum at bass pro is a must

Just prepare for fishing in the rain... could be great.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Just go fish. The fish are already wet. Just watch for lightning.

Ok, so who is we...if we includes anyone that is averse to rainy and potentially bad weather...reschedule the vacation...otherwise, do indoors and/or sightseeing type things and slip away occasionally to fish, when the weather gives you a window...

The good news...you got some extra pocket change for a vacation, so it could be worse...

Just go behind the dam and have fun catching trout, you'll have a blast!

The "other" of the we is my Wife and we can't reschedule. We will fish when we can. Yes, lightning is bad.

We will go to other places when necessary. We will definitely go to the new BPS aquarium in Springfield.

"In an Afghan prison?" I'll be nice and just pass on a come back to that goofy statement.

Not what you are going for or planed for but in between good weather and area trips fish the marina docks sitting in a chair and under a roof. Crappie, bass... And yes there are some stupid comments/responses on here...but with over 5000 posts I'm sure you have come to expect people to show their a$z. laugh Afghan Prison????? Go have a good time and make lemonade regardless!

Go trade the rest of your tampons for a poncho and deal with the rain.

It poured on is from the time we got out of Houston until we got to the Missouri state line. It has been cloudy since we got here but it has not rained on us. Fishing has been tough but we have managed a few LMB and Spotted Bass. I even managed to catch my first bass on a Whopper Plopper! It is supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow so we are going to go to the new aquarium and some caves in Springfield. Back to fishing on Wednesday.
