I throw McCoys Mean green as a leader, but normally fish with a mono. Sometimes, I fish the copoly for everything, sometimes, on lighter line, it has too much stretch though, so that is why I use mono or 20# or heavier line. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

C rig, braid 30# to floro (20' of 20#) on a spinning reel (stout heavy rod) so I can cast it a mile while having up to 5 feet of separation between the weight and bait. Usually a zoom monster 12 inch worm or Rage anaconda huge worm.
*** All other bottom baits which was your question, I use 15 or 20 lb tatsu floro. I was using braid last year for a while and it took some getting used to having the stretch of floro on hook set, I went to lighter wire hooks and havent looked back.

I think I have 15lb InvisX on more setups out of my arsenal. Next most used would be 20lb Fluro.

16 or 20 pound fluorocarbon. That covers me from Canyon lake all the way to Falcon, and every lake in between. I don't go lighter or heavier than that.

17# original blue Stren mono, unless it's REALLY thick or at night - then 65# Sufix 832 braid.
PB: 10-01 on a Ribbit frog
