Expect pain, pain, and more pain until they operate.

Worse things ever! Several of us have them and it sucks

Yessir...I just went through this this past May and June. Six weeks of some of the worst pain I've ever had. I have three of them in my lower back. High end Naproxin and muscle relaxers didn't touch it. I finally went to pain management at a back doctor. Two rounds of steroid injections in my back have helped tremendously. I'm not 100%, but my quality of life has increased significantly.

3, one lower 2 upper (between shoulder blades), 2 rounds of epidural injections helped with the disc area pain but numbed my fingers for about 6 months, better then the pain though

Been there. 360 fusion l4 and l5. The opioids are the worst. They're the only LEGAL meds that will even touch the pain. Physical therapy is very helpful. Strengthen your core.

Yes sir. Herniated L3,L4,L5 and have lived with the pain for about 8 years. Ive been doing the injections every now and again for pain management but at some point will do the discectomy procedure. Get yourself an inversion table.

This for me. Pain free for 14 years. I can't believe I went so long without properly addressing the pain. The back will get tired, but that's because I don't exercise.

Good luck.

So FYI, opioids are the worse. 1 year ago I was eating 3-5 vikes a day because of the pain. I havent had one since the surgery but I drink more. Im working on tha btw, Either way, watch out cause even 5 vikes on average still meant I had pain. It was a very bad time in my life

The inversion table has been a big help for me. It wont heal you but it will relieve some pain due to decompression. I have a script for hydrocodone but Ill only take it when I have a really bad day. Those bad days are about 1 time a year. When it gets really bad Ill go back for injections. I havent had injections in a couple of years.
