Actually I wanted to come up to Advantage Marine for a Lund, but the trade in they have offered with the G3 dealer here I have to go that way. Anyway here is the boat I am about to get and wanted any info any of you can offer. I will have a 115 Yamaha 4-stroke and 4 seats and a Minn Kota 70PD/US, 24 volt, 54" shaft trolling motor.

you dont ask how much someone is paying for something. thats like me asking what you paid for your house.

I think lund is probably the better choice! If i was buying a new boat that is what i'd buy. The lund has a long history of makeing a great fishing boat.

Nice boat Skip---I'm like Sabot too--I'm biased but I bought a Lund from Joe at Advantage Marine and I couldn't be happier. Great Boat and a Great Dealer.

I have a G3 175C Deep-V with a Yamaha 115 and a Minn PD 54 shaft 24 volt system. Love it! I just wish I'd a put a 150 4 stroke on it though.

I have a F115 on my Xpress. It GPS's at 52MPH. Faster than I care to go on most days. All I can say is break the motor in per mfg instructions or send me a PM.

i may be wrong, but from your post i take it you havent been to see joe. just on a phone or email maybe. but if you take your boat to joe for him to see condition of boat and your really interested you'll probably get a better $$$ on trade-in. if i'm mistaken and you've gone to see him i still say LUND. Hope to have my lund this year.

I looked at the 175 also, but his boat is only rated for the 115. Pretty good amount less for the 172C though.

I really enjoyed talking with Joe, but he could only offer about $3k less for my trade than I am getting and I did send him pictures that show it's in very good shape. Joe seem to be a very honest guy and would do business with him, but this 17'2" boat is about the same price as the Lund (but I don't think the Lund includes tax).

Anyway I am giving $23,200 completely rigged with my electronics (I just a month ago ordered a LCX 27C and have another color Lowrance on the front that I am keeping for this one and 115 4- stroke Yamaha. Has the Minn Kota troll motor, SS prop,2 extra seats to make a total of 4. This price includes tax. On top of that they are giving me $3K more on my trade, but I made them promise to make me a good deal if I was still not satisfied with this boat after 1 year and one year is up and I want another so that is why I am trading and don't think giving $3k more for the Lund is good business on my side. They are both built very well and double plated with the same quality aluminum.

All I need to do now is push my luck to see if they will change the TM to the Auto Pilot, LOL!

I read a review and if I go kind of slow (in the 20's) the review said it has a range of 200 miles!
