Garcia 5500c and 4600c reels are virtually indestructible. A little harder to cast into the wind but they never ever break. Now if you have small hands they may be hard for you to palm but they will not break.

Older shimano curado 200 greenies are what you want they made them in left hand modles, parts are easy to get and they almost never break. Look on trading post, BBC boards or ebay for them.

Curado 300 or a Diawa Lexa 300. They are large low profile reels.

Absolutely this. You can find them for $60-$80 all day and I don't know why anyone would ever sell them.
