Spot-lock... haven't set an anchor all summer. Haven't gotten the fish to bite either. Can't tell if it's cause or coincidence. roflmao

Easy for you to say! Toms got forearms like Popey the Sailer Man. You barely even have to use your back with those anchor pullers Tom! texas

Nana EG!!!!!.....But I am taking the cat-poles cause I've been scanning the shallows lately and it's unbelievable how much catfish is just sitting all around in this area. Heck I was catching them where they were mixed in with my Crappie!! bannana2

I was able to make 8 of the 30 sinkers for $32. That included buying everything thing at ACE hardware which is always a little more. Team catfish sinker slides ($8 total), and having to buy gorilla glue ($4). If you ordered stuff online or Atleast went to Home Depot, you should be able to make these for about $3 each for a 4oz or so drift sinker that is very hard to hang up. Should come out way ahead considering a 3oz no roll is close to $1 each

These worked incredibly well. I was just fishing big muddy flats the other day, but the rod tips didnt even bounce when dragging. Made it very easy to detect even light bites while drifting.

I didnt post any pictures. I did use orange wire nuts and super glue, and eye bolts with a bunch of superglue to hold them in. You dont need foam. The tubing naturally floats since its sealed up. I put them on sinker slides. Once I anchored shallow, I just took off the drift sinker and clipped on disc sinkers.

Well 9 times out of 10 were drifting current in The Arkansas river....some times rock bottom...sometimes sand...sometimes hard clay.....depends on current speed and bottom conditions on what kind we drift or drag ( when the water is off) the long one at the top is for drifting rock and gravel bottom in the current it bounces pretty good W/O hanging

Sinker # 2 is for faster current smooth bottom aero-dynamic in the current....uh i just noticed i tied that one bacwards..LOL the bullet should be facing the rod when dragging...
# 3 is a slinky para-cord weight we really use them in the bigger lakes smooth bottom with peg corks on the line you can let out a lot of line for a smooth pull

The flat ones is experimental at this stage...I like the bottom one the best...light current bounces along the bottom pretty good with a really small peg cork....

They use the plastic 16-30 inch tubes in Alabama for drifting but i didnt have any issues dragging or drifting using the very top one ... it bounces off stuff pretty good...

I use as light of sinker for drifting as possible.....now dragging takes a little heavier version on my deep rods straight down...

If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....
