Read a story on the sad state of affairs that is KU football and where they go from here. They're 1 good coaching hire from being . . . at least relevant. KansasCoaching

Thanks Ted, good article.
Author knows KU football.
Hes correct in the fact that Coach Beaty has so screwed up recruiting that his successor starts with both a numerical and talent deficit.
Many of us have felt the best way forward for Kansas is to go the opposite direction. Something like Georgia Tech or a service academy. Kansas cannot recruit enough talent to out score the high octane offenses of the big twelve. Kansas has a chance in games played in the 20s...none in a game in the 40s.
Just for its conversational value, another oft mentioned name is les miles. He has long standing association with AD Jeff Long.

I thought about this the other day after reading the thread about the football woes at Kansas
Lets face it, in football, Kansas is perennially going to be the Kentucky of the SEC
Move Kansas to the ACC and that conference, if its not already, would immediately become the power conference in basketball. Also, Kansas would have a lot easier time competing in football in that conference
Move Pittsburg and Vanderbilt out of the ACC to the Big XII. Makes sense geographically and the Big XII would be one team closer to actually having 12 teams, which I always found disconcerting
Itll never happen but I like it
