I have never fished Toledo Bend or Rayburn. Going to go first time Sept 21-23. Which lake would you choose right now. I know they are big lakes, any suggestions on best area to stay/put in? Are they safe to run, does it have boat lanes? How are they currently fishing, any tips on baits, good areas to fish (pm if prefer), and running the lake are greatly appreciated! Ill be in a 21 Ranger. Thanks in Advance!

Fin and Feather on toledo and bass buster inn or Rayburn country on Rayburn. Those are just a couple of options. As for the fishing, either one can be fun if the weather holds right. The fish can be scattered but I would suggest searching for shad.

Rayburn is pretty safe to run on the south end. Get to mid lake and it is not so safe. T Bend is not safe to just get out there and run. I would suggest that you invest in Boatlanes for the 2 lakes for your fish finder gps. Very cheap insurance and will get you safely around the 2 lakes. You can download the program and install on your machine.

That's the weekend before the flw tournament for Toledo so I will expect lots of prefishing including me! 😊
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

I'm taking a 4-day trip to Toledo Bend in 2 weeks. Never been. I got the boat lanes card. My Humminbird Helix 12 Gen1 said it uploaded the points but I don't see them. However, it looks like my Lakemaster card already has all the buoys marked. Anyone know if the Lakemaster markings are the same (or good enough)?

lakemaster is fine --- the markers on the texas side suck-- not very well maintained---la. side is great
i would be at rayburn ---myself
or do both --we like to launch casel boykin or jackson hill ---put the boat on the trailer about 1 -- run to alpine on toledo and fish the eve all things being equal -- i like rayburn

Toofy be sure and read the instructions about making your tracks visible on the lanes card. It makes a big difference especially if you are running lakemaster too.

I loaded the boatlanes tracks and only see the little dots along with some waypoints. I changed the Nav settings to visible, solid line, and a new color but it's still the little dots. I'm nt sure how to change it.
