Looking for options for weekend / summer getaway spots in the Tyler area. Open to full-time RV parks, single family homes, town home/villas on or near good bass lakes. Any recommendations?

We bought a nice Park Model already set up at Lake Fork and spend around 4 months out of the year there. We like it and are looking forward to heading there Thursday for a week.

How close to Tyler did you want to be? Lake Palestine and the two Lake Tyler's are almost in the city limits.

The idea is to be close enough to a city to have easy access to more than 3 restaurants and shops to keep my wife happy while also being on or near the water.

Something around Lake Palestine sounds like your best bet. Why not try something like VRBO, plug in all your desires and see what's available? VRBO
