looking to take wife for a weekend of fishing about mid sept, want her to catch fish. hows Rayburn look about then?
or if a better lake for that time of year that is near, im open to suggestions.

Rayburn should be good then. Brushpiles out deep, frogging/topwater shallow and there should be a grass flipping bite as well.

Ya depends on water level. It's about 2.5ft low so definitely not as much fall cover as we have had the past few years but there will still be shallow fish especially if we get an early front
