Had the pleasure of hitting the lake with my daughter this Morning. We took our time and pulled away from the ramp at 8:00 this morning. Made a run across the lake to the East side and hit a brush pile in about 15'. The bite was steady as we pitched out jigs and let them drift / swing down across the brush pile. We where using Slab Bandits in Texas Toast and Sour Grape. Worked the pile for about an hour and caught fish steady to a total of about 20 fish. Quality was not good, but we had fun. Put 3 fish in the boat at 11" or better.
After an hour, moved to a large tree in about 20' fow. A ton of fish looked to be stacked on it. Droped the Slab Bandits in and bang bang, two more keepers in the boat. Worked it for about 45 minutes. Caught another 20 or so and put another 4 in the live well.
Its now 10:15 and wind is getting up to about 15MPH. Saw the next tree we found loaded up with more fish, but we decided to hit another Brush pile on the west side of the lake out of the wind.
We pulled up on it and were greeted with this view.

Started swinging jigs past the edge of the brush and they proceeded to nail it. We worked it for about 20 minutes and put another 9 keepers in the boat with only 3 or 4 dinks. It was now 11:00 and we had 18 fish in the boat. Had things we need to do today and now had to add fish cleaning so we called it a day. Bonnie had a good time and I always love my time with her.

Tried keep only 11" plus fish. Big fish was 12.5". All where fat and healthy.
