What would be a good upper level chirp sonar for the bow and which transducer.

Most use will be in water 30’ and less. The ability to switch between med and high chirp would a plus.

Have looked at the Simrad but not sure which transducer to use and if it is capable of changing frequency.

Thanks

The units today have an algorithm built in where the unit (if the unit is "Chirp" unit), based on depth, determines the CHIRP instead of the transducer having to be a "Chirp" transducer. With these units any transducer will work and, as I've indicated, the unit decides the chirp frequency range.

Thanks for the reply. I sort of thought that was the case.

By the way we are almost neighbors. I’m in new Boston.

Great -- if I can help give me a call.
