Thank you Ratz and Scags, it is refreshing to see that there are still some on here with class and dignity. John McCain deserves the respect, whether some give it to him is more a reflection of what they are not who he was.

Although I may not have respected some of his politics, I definitely respect him for what he has done for our country. God Bless the family, RIP Mr. McCain

Makes me happy that Obama will be speaking at his funeral. Seems those two managed to maintain respect for each even after running against each other in 08. They set a good example for how to conduct yourself.

We have got to get back to being able to respect and even like people who have different political views. The venom on both sides is toxic for our country. That's why losing a guy like McCain hurts. You had to respect a guy who would stand up for his opponent at his own rally.
